On 16 August 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid floral tributes to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee at his memorial, 'Sadaiv Atal', in New Delhi, marking his seventh death anniversary.

 President Droupadi Murmu and several Union Ministers, including Rajnath Singh, JP Nadda, Kiren Rijiju, and Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, as well as Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, joined the ceremony. PM Modi described Vajpayee’s service as a “guiding force for a self-reliant India,” while Rajnath Singh praised his lifelong efforts to build a strong and prosperous nation.
