Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to visit the United States next month to participate in the high-level session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, scheduled from September 23 to 29, 2025. 

His address is anticipated on September 26. During the visit, PM Modi is likely to meet US President Donald Trump to discuss key trade issues, including the recent tariff disputes and the revival of the “Mission 500” plan aimed at boosting bilateral trade to $500 billion by 2030. The meeting is considered significant amid recent strains in India–US relations and ongoing global challenges such as the Russia–Ukraine conflict and the Israel–Hamas war.
