Ahinda Model: Congress Pushes for a National Blueprint for Social Justice

Ahinda Model: Congress Pushes for a National Blueprint for Social Justice

Congress has proposed the expansion of Karnataka’s “Ahinda Model” into a national framework for ensuring social justice.
At the first national meeting of the Congress OBC Advisory Council, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah emphasized that the "Ahinda" approach—an acronym for Minorities, Backward Classes, and Dalits—must guide India's social policy at a national level.

Siddaramaiah declared that this is not just a political tool but a vision for inclusive governance. He accused the BJP of resisting data-backed welfare policies, including caste-based surveys and proportionate reservation. Echoing Rahul Gandhi's "Equal Rights for Equal Population" slogan, he stated that the Ahinda model represents the very soul of India's social fabric.

The Congress party, through this move, aims to strengthen its appeal among marginalized communities across India by advocating for data-driven policies and equitable representation. If implemented properly, experts believe this could redefine the narrative of social justice in Indian politics.
