ABVP Triumphs in DUSU Elections; Aryan Maan Secures President’s Post from NSUI

In a decisive victory in the 2025 Delhi University Students' Union (DUSU) elections, Aryan Maan of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) was elected President, defeating Joslyn Nandita Choudhary of the Congress-backed National Students' Union of India (NSUI) by a significant margin of 16,196 votes 

The elections, held on September 18 across 52 centers and 195 booths, saw a voter turnout of 39.45%, with over 2.75 lakh students eligible to vote The Times of India. ABVP's strong performance extended beyond the presidency; the organization secured three of the four central panel positions, including the Secretary and Joint Secretary posts. NSUI managed to win the Vice President position through Rahul Jhansla, who garnered 29,339 votes, narrowly defeating ABVP's Govind Tanwar 

Aryan Maan, a graduate of Hansraj College, has been an active participant in student activism and sports. His campaign focused on pragmatic goals such as subsidized metro passes, free Wi-Fi across campus, accessibility audits for persons with disabilities, and improved sports facilities

The election results underscore ABVP's continued dominance in Delhi University's student politics, reflecting broader political dynamics on campus. The victory is expected to influence student governance and political discourse at the university in the coming year.
