In a major boost to women empowerment and economic inclusion, the Government of India has introduced a ₹3,000 crore Women Entrepreneurship Scheme aimed at supporting 5 lakh first-time women entrepreneurs over the next five years. Under this scheme, eligible women can receive collateral-free business loans of up to ₹2 crore along with access to training and market linkage support.

The scheme is especially focused on SC/ST and underprivileged women who want to start their own businesses but lack financial backing. Apart from funding, the scheme also provides entrepreneurship training, mentorship, and access to the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) to help them scale their ventures.

This initiative complements existing programs like Stand-Up India and Mudra Yojana, offering a stronger support system for women-led startups. The government aims to promote self-reliance, job creation, and inclusive growth by bringing more women into India’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

This ₹3,000 crore plan marks a significant step toward empowering women, bridging gender gaps in business, and building a more inclusive economy.
