The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) has announced a major relief for students and parents by making the Apaar ID optional for Class 9–12 exam forms in the 2025–26 academic session.

The Apaar ID, a 12-digit unique academic identification introduced under NEP 2020, had become a hurdle for many due to mismatches in Aadhaar and Samagra records. To address these issues, MPBSE will organize correction camps at cluster and block levels, enabling smooth updates without unnecessary delays or stress. However, the board has clarified that this relaxation is temporary and from the 2026–27 session, Apaar ID will once again be mandatory. This step is expected to ease the application process for thousands of students across the state.
