Josh Hazlewood Set to Rejoin RCB as IPL 2025 Resumes

Bengaluru, May 15, 2025 — Australian fast bowler Josh Hazlewood is poised to return to India to play for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) as the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 resumes on May 17, according to reports.

Hazlewood had left India after the IPL was suspended for a week amid escalating border tensions between India and Pakistan. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the tournament's restart following a ceasefire agreement, with the final scheduled for June 3.

The pacer missed RCB’s last game due to a shoulder injury, raising concerns about his fitness ahead of the tournament’s crucial stages and the upcoming World Test Championship Final.

RCB fans and management are hopeful that Hazlewood’s return will strengthen their bowling lineup and boost their chances in the remaining matches.
