India has officially secured the 3rd position in the Global Startup Ecosystem Index 2025, following only the United States and the United Kingdom.

 With more than 1.57 lakh DPIIT-recognized startups and over 1.7 million jobs created, India has cemented its status as a global hub for entrepreneurship. Notably, Delhi has overtaken Bengaluru in startup funding for the first half of 2025, reflecting a shift in India’s innovation landscape. Tier II and III cities now account for nearly 50% of new startups, demonstrating the spread of digital infrastructure and access. The Startup India Mission, combined with robust private investment and innovation in sectors like logistics tech, fintech, and retail, continues to fuel this rise. Despite a global funding slowdown, India attracted $4.8 billion in tech startup investments, with strong government and ecosystem support paving the way for future growth.
