Pakistan’s 24-year-old batsman Haider Ali, representing the national ‘A’ team (Shaheens), has been arrested by Greater Manchester Police in the UK following a rape allegation. 

The incident allegedly took place on July 23, 2025, in Manchester. Haider was taken into custody during a match in Beckenham on August 3, with his passport seized. He was later released on bail pending further investigation. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has provisionally suspended him, affirming their respect for the UK’s legal process while pledging full cooperation and legal support. Known for his aggressive batting style and stints in the Pakistan Super League, Haider Ali’s career now faces uncertainty as the case unfolds.
